About Summit Coaching and Consulting

The power of coaching

I help individuals and teams work to have the greatest impact in both their business and personal lives. I work with my clients to provide a supportive and challenging environment. One in which they can reflect and explore the choices they make, both consciously and unconsciously, and the impact those choices have on their performance. I build strong relationships with my clients which enable them to fully explore their own potential and make sustainable changes in their behaviour. Those changes then ripple out into the teams and organisation in which they work.

My youngest son was born with severe autism which meant that I took a long break from my professional career. I became an independent coach in 2011. Part of my own coaching journey has been to recognise the impact my experience of supporting my son’s learning and growth has had on me personally. And on my coaching practice. I work in a non-judgemental way, have a strong belief in my clients’ potential and help them recognise and re-connect with their values and strengths.

I maintain a pragmatic approach to my work, keeping the bigger picture in mind and maintaining a focus on what the individual and the business needs to deliver.

I believe in the power of conversation. In the power of human interaction – in what is both said and unsaid. If you would like to start a conversation, just get in touch.

Industry Experience

I have extensive experience as a facilitator and coach working at all levels in both the public and private sector. I have worked with organisations across

  • Manufacturing

  • Science

  • Engineering

  • Health

  • Pharmaceuticals

  • Retail

  • Education

  • Charity

I work for a leading provider of accredited coach education programmes as part of their senior faculty. I find that helping others to develop their own coaching skills both challenges me and keeps my own coaching practice fresh.

My degree in Aeronuatics and Astronautics at Southampton University led to a career that has spanned Engineering, Operations and HR in a number of blue-chip companies. I worked extensively in change management, organisation development and talent management in British Aerospace and Gillette. My last corporate role at Cadbury Schweppes involved running a global talent programme and designing a world-wide culture change programme.
